If this five-video series keeps getting sadder, the end is going to be unbearable

More Goldfrapp More Goldfrapp

English electro duo Goldfrapp have revealed the clip for Stranger, the latest in their line of videos from the deluxe edition of last year's sixth studio LP Tales Of Us.

The reissue will be released on July 4 on Mute, now through Create/Control in Australia, with Stranger marking the second in a series of five planned clips to accompany the 'deluxe edition'.

The first video, for the delicate, haunting Jo, appeared on YouTube earlier this month, and taken together, the completed series is designed to be representative of five individual stories derived from the album's narratively-driven songs.

As with its predecessor and forthcoming successors, the ethereal, wispy Stranger has been directed by acclaimed auteur Lisa Gunning (Salmon Fishing In The Yemen, Nowhere Boy), and stars Goldfrapp frontwoman Alison Goldfrapp alongside Irish actress Laura Donnelly.

All up, the videos form an award-winning half-hour film, also titled Tales Of Us, which made its premiere at the London Short Film Festival and won at the Byron Bay Film Festival. The film, which will be available for purchase separately to the album, connects the individual stories contained in each to form an over-arching dramatic and musical narrative.

Previously, clips for Drew and Annabel were unveiled with the original release of Tales Of Us last year.
