Surprise free live show in Melbourne's CBD tomorrow!

More Kutcha Edwards More Kutcha Edwards

First Nations legend Uncle Kutcha Edwards will be performing a free pop-up gig in Melbourne's CBD tomorrow outside the State Library of Victoria. The gig is one of a series across the city over the last few weeks as the state gets back to COVID-normal to reclaim its stake on the title of Australia's live music capital.

With acclaim for his 2021 album 'Circling Man', Edwards has had a 40+ year career in music, first as a member of Watbalimba and Blackfire, before launching his solo career and joining The Black Arm Band.

This show will be one of first opportunities to hear the album live since COVID restrictions have lifted.

Since mid-February until the March long weekend, hundreds of Victorian musicians have brought live performances to the streets of Melbourne as part of the Melbourne leg of the Victorian Government’s On The Road Again initiative in partnership with the City of Melbourne.

The program will see close to 700 busking performances along with pop-up shows by well-known musicians hitting the city streets. The program kicked off with Alice Skye, Kaiit, Hayley Mary and Fergus James surprising passers by with their performances. Upcoming gigs include: Gordi, Emma Donovan and Adrian Eagle.
