Phil Jamieson Announces Intimate & Acoustic 2024 Australian Tour

Grinspoon frontman, solo artist and raconteur Phil Jamieson is hitting the road in January and February 2024, playing a series of intimate and acoustic shows across the country.

The 19-date Nobody Else run, in support of his latest solo LP, Somebody Else, will find Jamieson performing in familiar venues and spaces he’s never played at in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania, as well as an extra special performance at Shoalhaven’s Milton Theatre - the venue was mentioned in the video below.

Hinting at surprises within the nights of original music, Jamieson offered in a statement, “The setlist will have rearranged songs for this particular format. After the exploration that Grinspoon have done on Easy and New Detention, I may play some deep cuts of those records. I’m also looking forward to road-testing some new material that I have been working on for my sophomore solo joint.”

Jamieson added, “There are venues here I have never played; there are venues here that I love. It’ll be summer in Australia, and I am playing brand new music as well as stuff from 25 years ago. I love being solo. It’s a challenging space but also super rewarding.

“These shows will be an absolute ride. Get there if you can.”

Melbourne artist Robert Muiños will join Jamieson on the upcoming unique and extensive tour.

Throughout September, Jamieson accompanied The Living End’s Chris Cheney, You Am I’s Tim Rogers and Josh Pyke as they honoured The Beatles’ White Album in venues nationwide.

In October, November and December, Grinspoon will perform their albums Easy and New Detention in their entirety and released the albums on vinyl for the first time earlier this month.
