ABC iView have announced that a new absurdist comedy created by Gamillaroi/Torres Strait Islander actor and playwright Nakkiah Lui (Black Comedy) will also star Aussie pop singer Christine Anu.

As TV Tonight reports, the show — titled Kiki & Kitty — will star Lui herself as the lead role of Kiki with Elaine Crombie starring as Kitty, Kiki's own vagina anthropomorphised. Anu has signed on to play Kiki's mother Maria.

The show will circle around the "trials and tribulations of Kiki, the good black girl in a bad white world, who stumbles across her vagina in the personification of Kitty and realises there is a lot more to life than she thought".

The six 10-min episodes will also start Charlie Garber as Kiki's love interest, Tessa Rose as Kiki's Nan, Lisa Flanagan as Nan's vagina, Ryan Johnson as the Kiki's co-worker and Rob Carlton as Bryce.
