It's always fantastic to see Australian exports shine at America's largest festivals and it seems that come June, Governor's Ball 2016 will be no different, with ARIA-nominated soul songstress Meg Mac, very-well-known-in-the-US-by-now Courtney Barnett and triple j Hottest 100 winner Chet Faker set to take the stage this American summer.

22-year-old producer Thomas Jack along with New York-based Sydneysider Betty Who are also slated in to make their Governor's Ball debuts in 2016.

The New York City festival's line-up this year is headed up by Kanye West, The Strokes and The Killers, and also features the likes of Father John Misty, Against Me!, Purity Ring, Eagles Of Death Metal and more.

The three-day festival featured hometown acts such as Tame Impala, Angus & Julia Stone, Hermitude, Flume and Vance Joy in 2015 — take a look at some exclusive photos of the festival here.
