UPDATE 14/09/23: English singer-songwriter Gaz Coomes (best known as the frontman of ‘90s staple Supergrass) has been announced as the latest addition to this jaw-dropping spread, performing alongside Robbie Williams and Lufthaus on Sunday November 26. The original story is as follows.

This year’s VALIO Adelaide 500 is fast approaching; the annual supercar spectacular will run from Thursday November 23 to Sunday 26, and following the main three races themselves will be some enormous live music events.

The first, scheduled for the night of Friday November 24, will be a wicked celebration of dance and pop music, with world-renowned DJs Carl Cox and Eric Powell headlining (under the banner of Carl Cox And Eric Powell’s Mobile Disco). They’ll be joined onstage by a trio of vocalists dubbed the “House Divas” – Robin S and Saeeda Wright from the US, and Melanie Williams from the UK – while iconic Aussie singer Christine Anu will also make an appearance.

Saturday’s (November 25) show will be an Australian rock extravaganza for the ages; not only are Icehouse headlining the concert, they’ll also be joined by the legendary Brewster brothers (best known as the heart of The Angels) and modern-day icon William Barton. Supporting them, too, will be the triple hit of Baby Animals, The Screaming Jets and the Australian Rock Collective (a supergroup comprised of Spiderbait’s Kram, Jet’s Mark Wilson and Powderfinger’s Darren Middleton, plus exclusive guest vocalist Talei Wolfgramm), as well as an as-yet-unconfirmed bill of local South Australian bands.

Finally, this year’s Adelaide 500 will end with a show from the one and only Robbie Williams, delivering the same spellbinding show that he is on the global XXV tour. Opening that show will be the newly formed EDM supergroup Lufthaus (comprising songwriting/production mainstays Tim Metcalfe and Flynn Francis) alongside a few more acts that are yet to be announced.

All of these shows will be free to attend for Adelaide 500 ticketholders. If you’re keen to join that group – and judging by the lineups, you certainly should be – you can grab one of the remaining few tickets here.
