More Harry Styles More Harry Styles

Rumours of Harry Styles potentially headlining the 2024 Super Bowl have surfaced on Twitter after a popular account, MLFootball, posted a tweet that Styles could be next year’s halftime performer.

As NME reports, hints of Styles performing at the halftime show at this year’s event also floated around before the game took place, but it was ultimately Rihanna who dazzled with her collection of hits and sublime voice.

Rihanna’s Super Bowl performance was packed with medleys, including Bitch Better Have My Money, We Found Love / Rude Boy, Umbrella, Diamonds and more. You can check out The Music’s reaction to her set here.

Next year, Las Vegas will host its first Super Bowl, with the game heading to Allegiant Stadium on 11 February 2024.

The independent reporter behind MLFootball has One Direction and Styles fans thrilled, despite the possibility of the As It Was singer being next year’s halftime show performer only a rumour at this stage.

MLFootball wrote, “There’s been a lot of chatter, that multiple-time GRAMMY award winner and former One Direction Star Harry Styles will be the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show Performer”. The tweet has over 2.8 million views.

Styles’ fans have expressed their delight in the rumour, as well as a need to “protect” the singer from viewers who believe he doesn’t belong on that stage.

“i am so happy for him but we will have to defend him with our lives like never before,” one fan wrote, with another adding, “This is the only time I will watch the superbowl out of choice”.

Another fan is hopeful for a potential One Direction reunion on the Super Bowl stage, writing, “With Niall, Zayn, Liam and Louis (1D) as special guest? THAT would be historic”. You can view the fan reactions below.

Earlier this year, Harry Styles became an honorary Australian when he brought out the one and only Daryl Braithwaite to perform his hit cover of Rickie Lee Jones's The Horses.

“It’s our last show in Australia, so it only felt right to do something a little bit special,” Styles told the audience in Sydney. “Please welcome, Mr Daryl Braithwaite!” You can check out the footage here.
