Full Tony Joe White Tour Dates Announced

The swamp lord Tony Joe White knows Australia very well indeed, he's here every couple of years for a month or so of shows all over the place, just so we don't forget that he's one of the coolest exponents of blues on the planet right now. The singer-songwriter is one of the best guitarists around and his baritone voice carries the stories he writes about the southern states of America so lusciously; every chance you get to see him ought to be treasured.

After 50 years in the game, White has paid his dues a hundred times over. His songs have been recorded by everyone from Elvis Presley to Etta James and has played shows and made records with everyone from Eric Clapton to Jerry Lee Lewis. He just keeps on keeping on, though, and the 69-year-old is performing as good as ever if his last visit to our country is anything to go by.

He has plenty of shows lined up for his visit to Australia next March, with 14 shows planned, including appearances at the Bluesfest, Boogie and Deni Blues Fest events.
