Five Finger Death Punch announce Afterlife Album, Drop IOU single
Five Finger Death Punch cop a hiding online sometimes, but hey, 'Nickelback' them all ya like, they sell tickets, they stream their asses off (over 8 billion streams to date), they connect with their audience like the best of them. Today they have dropped the news about their new record 'AFTERLIFE' and ripped out a new single, 'IOU'.
FFDP recently dropped their single “AfterLife” and today have announced the August 19 release of their new album of the same name - and ripped out a new one today called 'IOU'.
The video provides a first ever sneak-peek into the Metaverse project the band has been working on (same with Slipknot!). The interactive virtual world will be a gamified fan club experience, developed on the near photorealistic Unreal Engine (hell yeah!) and providing an extension of the band’s existing Fan Club app in the near future. The band says that AFTERLIFE was their “...favourite record to make. It is our ninth album so at this point, we have legions of loyal fans, and our signature sound is more than established. It became its own island, our ground zero we operate from and we can always come back to. So when we started this record, there was an excitement of impending musical adventures, we knew we could step away as far as we wanted to, there was a freedom of truly “anything goes.”"
