Dark Tranquillity Return To Australia In 2014

The melodic metal that has come out of the Swedish centre of Gothenburg over the years is among some of the most well loved and respected heavy music around. And fans of Gothenburg melodic metal will happily tell you how important Dark Tranquillity are to that particular scene.

They've been at it since the late 1980s, with founding members Mikael Stanne and Niklas Sundin driving the band since their formation. They've released ten albums, most recently dropping Construct back in May, and influenced an enormous number of heavy bands from all over the world, but most tellingly plenty of bands from their own fruitful scene.
