Brisbane, Brisbane, it's a hell of a town.

More Dan Cribb More Dan Cribb

West Australian musician and The Music Perth editor Dan Cribb continues his year-long tribute to The Simpsons, unveiling his 11th reimagined take on one of the show's musical numbers with the newly released The Amendment Song.

Featuring Benny Davis of The Axis Of Awesome and Sydney comedian Will Erimya, Cribb's latest effort brings his trademark energy to the well-loved tune, a campy '70s throwback that appeals to Generation Xers and a parody of an old Schoolhouse Rock! song that appeared in seventh-season episode The Day The Violence Died.

It joins a canon of previous efforts in the Worst Tribute Ever compilation, which has seen the left-coaster team up with an array of excellent guests, including Ecca Vandal, Jen Boyce (Ball Park Music), Jeremy Neale, David Novak (Polish Club), Tyler Richardson (Luca Brasi), Alex Lahey and more.

With one cover left to go in the series, Cribb has announced that he'll be taking the project to the live stage in Brisbane for an unofficial after-party at The Brightside on the first night of BIGSOUND, Tuesday 5 September.

He'll be joined by an array of special guest vocalists for the performance. We'd tell you who they are, but we gave Cribb a plate of corn muffins back in 1947 to paint our chicken coop and he never did.

Give the song a spin below, and check out the rest of the covers over on Bandcamp.
