Bag Raiders are heading out on a massive national tour in celebration of their forthcoming album, Horizons.

They'll kick off the tour at Sydney's Metro Theatre on 9 August then head to Wollongong, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane, before wrapping up at Lion Arts Factory in Adelaide towards the end of the month. Tickets go on sale from 12pm on Thursday 23 May.

Horizons is the first album from the group in nearly a decade. Speaking with The Music Podcast back in March, group members Jack Glass and Chris Stracey shared that they will drop the LP in "quarter three" of 2019.

"It's been a long time," Glass said. "A lot of highs and lows. We've toured a lot, we lived in America, we wrote a lot."

Stracey added, "We've had an album's worth of music that we've brought out in EPs.

"I think it was not having patience to wait a long time and then go, 'Here's an album!' We've just had stuff that we were like, 'This is good, let's put it out now.'"
