Singer Grace Newton-Wordsworth said in a statement via Rolling Stone Australia, “It feels like my wildest dream come true to be supporting an artist who has soundtracked countless moments of my childhood, teens and now adulthood,” recalling instances of listening to the singer on So Fresh! CDs, birthdays, weddings, funerals, “and everything in between”.

In addition to scoring the support slot of a lifetime, Joan & The Giants will drop their new single, Good Time, this Thursday (18 January) – just in time for the P!nk shows. You can pre-save the track here.

March follows a massive year for Joan & The Giants, who impressed at BIGSOUND 2023, supported Eskimo Joe on national tour dates, and won Best Alternative/Indie Act, Best Single (Cool Kid), and Best Music Video (Cool Kid) at the WA Music Awards.

In 2021, The Music premiered the band’s single Just For You (featuring Lilia). The Perth group wrote the song following the passing of a friend, with the track described as “a love letter to people who feel like they have no one to turn to, providing comfort and an underlying hope that everything will be OK”.

Newton-Wordsworth added, “Life can be overwhelming, and I hope Just For You can bring some comfort and warmth to someone going through a tough time.”
