Iconic singer set for #1.

More Barbra Streisand More Barbra Streisand

It may go against the stereotype of your typical ocker male, but with Fathers Day just a few days away, the ARIA Album chart midweek expectations are suggesting that you can expect to hear the new Barbra Streisand album blaring throughout your neighbourhood on Sunday, because the iconic singer is set to debut at #1.

The 35th studio album from the veteran performer, Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway, is the favourite to take out spot this week on the back of her 2014 record, Partners, which also peaked at #1.

Streisand's new album is made up of duets with a string of Hollywood talent including Anne Hathaway, Jamie Foxx, Australia's own Hugh Jackman, Melissa McCarthy, Seth MacFarlane and more.

Meanwhile, US pop queen Britney Spears is the only likely obstacle for Streisand, whose ninth studio LP Glory is primed for a top three debut.

The top ten placings on the chart are set for a big shake-up thanks to new debuts from Melbourne band Twelve Foot Ninja with Outlier, US duo Florida Georgia Line's Dig Your Roots, acclaimed country singer Troy Cassar-Daley's Things I Carry Around and UK outfit Glass AnimalsHow To Be A Human Being.

Rounding out the album debuts this week include Ol' 55's Time To Rock'n'Roll: The AnthologyThe Delta RiggsActive GalacticDe La Soul's And The Anonymous NobodyVince StaplesPrima Donna and ColumbusSpring Forever.

When it comes to Singles, there looks to be very little movement from last week's chart-toppersThe Chainsmokers, DJ Snake and Major Lazer, though you can expect to see two new names in the top ten, with Martin Garrix's In The Name Of Love and 's Final Song both set to climb the chart.

Meanwhile UK songwriter Passenger is debuting his new track, Anywhere, as is Code Cheats & Dante Klein with Let Me Hold You (Turn Me On).
