“We aim to showcase live music, be a fly on the wall and capture the magic for the viewer."

Adelaide has scored a new music show on Channel 9 Adelaide, with Jam Live set to broadcast live gigs from the state with a focus on Australian artists.

Tagged as “Adelaide's only local music show”, the new program will begin airing late June on Saturday afternoons.

Its first season will consist of five 30-minute episodes, featuring Regurgitator, Tired Lion, West Thebarton, San Cisco, Dean Lewis, Josh Cashman, Boo Seeka and more, presented and produced by SA radio personality Shanelle Franklin.

“It is designed to get people excited about live music and back into supporting the local artists, the touring artists and of course the venues and festivals who put these artists on,” Franklin told The Music.

“There are some great music shows out there which show video clips but we are here to bring you the live performance, which is something completely different to what is currently on TV.

“We aim to showcase live music, be a fly on the wall and capture the magic for the viewer.

“More importantly we want to open their ears to music they may not have heard before.”

Jam Live will air 4:30pm on Saturdays in Adelaide and will also be available via 9now.com.au nationally.
