Iconic Australian Musicians Unite For Malcolm Young Tribute Show

As the Australian music community comes to grips with the death of founding AC/DC member Malcolm Young late last year, artists have banded together for a special charity tribute show.

Renowned Melbourne AC/DC cover band, Whole Lotta Rosie, has gathered Australian pub rock icons like Powderfinger’s Lachy Doley, Pete Wano, Nat Allison and Jackie Barnes to celebrate Young's life and legacy.

All proceeds from the show will be donated to Dementia Foundation in an effort to raise awareness of the disease that forced Young into an early retirement from his ground-breaking band.

Young’s family has endorsed with event with Malcolm’s son Ross Young commenting, “Rock 'n' roll is in very good hands with these guys, thank you so much for your time and dedication”.

The show is set to take place on 17 February to coincide with the release date of AC/DC’s iconic 1975 debut album, High Voltage.

Young stood back from performing in 2014 shortly before it was revealed that he had been diagnosed with dementia. He unexpectedly passed away in November of last year at age 64.
