More AC/DC More AC/DC

When the news broke of Malcolm Young's passing late on Saturday night, music fans around the world were quick to react with tributes to the legend.

A founding member of AC/DC, the band announced Young's retirement from the band back in 2014, sharing that the guitarist had been diagnosed with dementia.

For most Australians, there's probably some memory of AC/DC you can attach to your life.

Maybe it's the vinyl your sibling shared with you, maybe it's a feeling you get when you hear that big ol' church bell kick in at the start of the Back In Black album, or maybe it's that time you saw one of the most important bands in rock history. Regardless of what it is, Young was a part of it and that's why he'll be so greatly missed.

Foo Fighter's Dave Grohl has probably summed up best what Young and the music of AC/DC has meant to the world, sharing "Thank you, Malcolm for the songs, and the feel, and the cool, and the years of losing control to your rock and roll."
