As the debate surrounding same-sex marriage continues around the country, Macklemore has confirmed he will perform his equality anthem, Same Love, during his set at the NRL grand final pre-show next weekend.

The US rapper will perform the 2012-released track, which has been used throughout the States in the past as an unofficial anthem by supporters of legalising same-sex marriage, in front of over 70,000 punters at ANZ Stadium and millions watching around Australia.

Same Love was met with critical acclaim upon its release, peaking at #1 on Singles charts around the world including Australia and New Zealand, as well as the UK Indie and R&B lists.

During the pre-game show, Macklemore is also confirmed to perform a few other hit songs, including Downtown and recent single, Glorious.
