"I'm done. I'm dead."
Following Blink-182's former guitarist Tom Delonge gushing over Gold Coast singer/songwriter Amy Shark earlier this month, another high profile character has jumped on the Amy Shark bandwagon — Girls star/creator Lena Dunham.
Dunham took to Twitter to directly hit up Shark, writing, "Hardly exaggerating when I say you saved my life these past few weeks", with the prayer hands emoji.
She later quoted the lyric "And I hate every girl who's ever known ya" from Shark's Weekends when chatting about Shark to a fan.
Understandably, when Shark discovered the praise from Dunham, she freaked out.

"I'm done. I'm dead. This tweet will be with me forever. @lenadunham HOLY DAMN thank you so much," she wrote.
Shark's star has been rising astronomically since the release of her first single, Adore, and now with the Night Thinker EP doing the rounds, Shark has also found herself added to her first international festival — October's Austin City Limits.
Over the last couple of weeks, Shark's been home in Australia touring for Groovin The Moo.
