He has been dominating music charts in Australia and abroad, but thanks to one neighbour, not everyone is a fan of Ed Sheeran.

As The Telegraph reports, a UK woman has been hit with an eight-week jail sentence for noise harassment against her neighbours, after she repeatedly played Sheeran's Shape Of You at a high volume.

Willenhall residents, Clare and Jonathan Tidmarsh, accused Sonia Bryce of subjecting them and their five children to "loud music, shouting and swearing".

Bryce has reportedly already been issued with a noise injunction and spent six weeks in prison this past December for breaching the injunction ten times.

"You must learn that you should behave as a reasonable and responsible adult, and not make life for your neighbours the misery that you have," Judge Philip Gregory told Bryce at Walsall County Court.

"You have displayed nothing but violent animosity towards your neighbour, and I am quite convinced that you do not care.

"Everybody is entitled to live in a degree of peace and quiet with the usual give and take of society, but you do not behave like a civilised person, and you have got to learn that you will."

Clare Tidmarsh said of the incident, "I used to like Ed Sheeran but I’ve taken him off my playlist.

"It drove us crazy."
