Out of 28,000 punters
205 arrests were made at Sydney's Field Day festival on New Year's Day this year, most of them for drug possession and supply.
As Huffington Post reports, a 24-year-old woman was charged with allegedly carrying 130 ecstacy pills and over $2,000 cash, and was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug and deal with property proceeds of crime.
Punters were charged with over 215 offences at the festival, where about 28,000 people gathered to watch the likes of Chance The Rapper, Childish Gambino, Alison Wonderland and Tkay Maidza.
The large-scale police operation at Field Day was planned closely with event organisers Fuzzy, with Operation Commander Detective Inspector Andrew Marks stating they were happy with punters' overall behaviour, despite the rise in drug arrests from last year's 184 arrests.

"We work closely with event organisers to ensure the festival is safe and fun, and are pleased the overwhelming majority of revellers were well-behaved … It's disappointing there were still some people who ignored our advice and tried to bring illegal drugs past the drug-detection dogs and through the gates."
