The future of beloved Adelaide live music venue Fowler’s Live has been uncertain for the past couple of years as they fight to keep their doors open, and the latest development sees the West End hotspot score a lease extension that promises another year of trade.
Originally, Fowlers’ Live had scheduled their final gig for May 2017 with the State Government’s ongoing push to have the building occupied by the State Theatre Company, but the venue has today announced they will continue to host live music well into 2018.
“We are happy to announce after months of uncertainty meetings, emails, discussions, and jumping thru a few hoops we now have a new lease until the end of June 2018,” a statement on Facebook read.
“Thankyou everyone for your support and kind words.”

The State Theatre Company currently occupies the Adelaide Festival Centre, and while some operation would remain there, it has been reported that administrative staff would relocate to the building Fowler’s Live uses.
