Emergent Sydney Artist Smashes Into UK Singles Chart

Only a few months after dropping her debut single, up-and-coming Sydney artist Starley has cracked the UK Singles Chart.

The latest tune from the buzz act, Call On Me, has debuted at #89, following on from a signing with esteemed dance label Tinted Records in August.

At the time of its release, the Starley said she “was thinking of walking away from music altogether”.

"One night, this song just poured out of me. It became a way of telling myself it was going to be OK; almost like an encouragement. It was as if I had created my own lighthouse; a beacon to help me realise my dreams are not impossible. I can do this… I’ll figure it out. I just need to follow my intuition and essentially, call on myself."

It’s a good thing she didn’t walk way from the industry as the success from her debut solo single – a follow-up to a collab with Odd Mob – promises massive things from her impending album.
