If you're a collector, fan or philanthropist, that is

More Holy Holy More Holy Holy

Dedicated fans of Aussie indie-rockers Holy Holy — or hardcore collectors with a couple of grand to spare — have an opportunity to own a real-life slice of music-industry memorabilia after band member Timothy Carroll listed his 1979 Fender Stratocaster for sale on Gumtree.

Going for a casual $2500, the gold-finish six-string was used in the recording of the band's acclaimed 2015 full-length When The Storms Would Come, and had a starring role in the video clips for House Of Cards (not that you could easily tell for that one) and History. The instrument — which comes replete with hard case — is in "good condition" and "plays well".

"I'll be in Brisbane for Bigsound so can take it up there or could probably post it somewhere else," Carroll said in a social media post plugging the sale. "It's fucking GOLD. I mean seriously. GOLD."

Holy Holy recently announced an upcoming national tour in the wake of their excellent new single Darwinism; see theGuide for all the dates, venues and other booking details.

Earlier this year, they were named as the recipients of $40,000 in grant money from the Australia Council, in a round of funding that also saw cash allocated to the likes of DZ Deathrays, Northeast Party House, Gang Of Youths, Dorsal Fins, Royal Headache and more.
