But it's not so pretty for The Avalanches.
After scoring some notable nominations at this year's MTV VMA's, Aussie pop artists Sia and Troye Sivan have backed that up by topping some of the US Billboard charts this week.
While Sia took out #1 on the prestigious Hot 100 chart with her hit Cheap Thrills, Sydney band 5 Seconds Of Summer's new track, Girls Talk Boys, debuted at #68.
It wasn't such great news on the Top 200 Albums chart for Aussie trio The Avalanches, as their second LP Wildflower plummeted from its debut placing of #27 last week all the way down to #199.
However, that's all the bad news as far as local acts go, since Sivan maintained top spot on the Twitter Top Tracks chart with Wild, featuring Alessia Cara, while Christian outfit Hillsong United also held on to #7 on the Digital Albums chart with the recently-released Of Dirt and Grace: Live from the Land.

Over on the dance charts Melbourne duo Nervo have kept their hot streak going with Let It Go, featuring Nicky Romero, which jumped up from #8 to #4 on the Dance Club Songs chart.
Victorian group Cookin' On 3 Burners' success in the UK is also translating in the US as they've continued to climb the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart with French producer Kungs' remix of their track, This Girl, rising to #10 while Sunday's Splendour headliner Flume held on to third spot on the same chart with Never Be Like You, featuring Kai.
The Sydney producer's latest album Skin has also increased its position on the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart, taking out #3 after placing at #5 last week, while it is also a serious chance to reclaim top spot on Australia's own album chart.
