US hearts The Avalanches.

More The Avalanches More The Avalanches

The Avalanches ticked off a career milestone when they scored their first #1 Aussie album last week with new album Wildflower, but it's also doing some huge things in the US where it has just charted.

Not only has the sophomore effort from the Melbourne outfit debuted on the Billboard 200 albums chart at #27, but it has also achieved some solid placings on a number of other Billboard lists.

Wildflower has come in at #3 on the Tastemaker Albums chart, #5 on both the Alternative Albums chart and the Top Rock Albums chart and at #9 on the Digital Albums chart.

Meanwhile, it impressively topped the Vinyl Albums chart and debuted at #12 on the Top Album Sales chart.

If that wasn't enough, their first single from the album Frankie Sinatra debuted on the Hot Rock Songs chart at #33.

The group's first album in 16 years has proved to be a hit across the world as well, ranking in on a number of global charts such as Scotland (#9), UK (#10), Ireland (#11), New Zealand (#12), Belgium (#19), Austria (#42), Switzerland (#44), Sweden (#46), Finland (#47), Netherlands (#49) and Canada (#54).

The Avalanches will perform tonight at Splendour In The Grass in support of the new album.
