Say it ain't so, they will not go.
Though they've achieved some hugely significant feats in their 20-plus year career, seminal punkers Blink-182 are yet to tick off an Australian #1 album from the list, but that could be all about to change with their latest record, California — that is, if they can beat Sydney singer Delta Goodrem to the top.
The wait for the US outfit's seventh studio album, which is this week aiming for a top three finish on the ARIA Albums Chart, has been almost painful for fans given that it is their first in five years and the first to not feature co-founder Tom Delonge.
If California fails to score the #1 placing, it is still a very good chance to debut at #2, which would match the peak positions of their 2011 effort Neighborhoods and 2001's Take Off Your Pants & Jacket. Blink's 2003 untitled album also peaked at #3.

Goodrem is a chance to spoil the party however, with her fifth LP, Wings Of The Wild, as it is also set to debut in the top three.
If the pop artist can take out #1, it will mark her fourth top placing Aus album overall, following on from Child Of The Universe which peaked at #2.
The only other threats likely to debut in the top ten this week are boy band In Stereo with The Speed Of Sound and Christine & The Queens' self-titled offering.
Rounding out the album debuts this week include Diesel's Americana, Josh Pyke's Live At The Sydney Opera House, UK legend Eric Clapton's live Crossroads Revisited: Selections From The Crossroads Guitar Festivals, Grace's FMA, Bat For Lashes' The Bride and Maxwell's BLACKsummers'night.
Over on the Singles Chart, Brisbane duo The Veronicas are looking to take out the coveted top spot with their hit In My Blood, on the back of its impressive boost on the charts last week.
Though it jumped up from #22 to place at #3, it's expected the song will rise on the chart yet again and could challenge for #1 against Drake's One Dance featuring Wizkid & Kyla, which has dominated the charts in recent weeks.
Expect to hear tracks this week from Fergie with MILF$, Dua Lipa's Hotter Than Hell, Kanye West's uber-publicised Famous, Era Istrefi's Bonbon and MØ's Final Song.
