To kick off his stint on Blues On Broadbeach

Slated in to headline the upcoming Blues On Broadbeach Music Festival in May, blues legend Eric Burdon & The Animals has announced that they won't be leaving without a headline tour as well.

The '60s rock'n'roll king will head to seven dates across the country, playing with acts like Kevin Borich Express in Sydney and Thirroul, as well as Aus rockers Joe Camilleri & The Black Sorrows and soulstress Renee Geyer in Melbourne.

It's been close to a decade since the Brits graced our stages, Burdon having shared stages with icons like Chuck Berry, Otis Redding and Jimi Hendrix in his storied half-a-century career.

Eric Burdon & The Animals will first descend upon Hobart on 12 May, Canberra on 13 May, Thirroul on 14 May, Sydney on 17 May, Melbourne on 18 May, Penrith on 20 May and Coloundra on 21 May, as well as Blues On Broadbeach on 22 May to finish off the tour.
