"We know that 2016 will be the biggest event yet and people will fly from across the country to be a part of this unique festival."

Legendary blues artist Eric Burdon is set to make a headlining appearance with his band The Animals for next year's installment of the annual Blues On Broadbeach Music Festival in May.

Burdon is a household name amongst music lovers, having received the honour of one of the 100 Greatest Voices of All Time according to Rolling Stone Magazine. People will recognise his physically imposing voice on classic tracks such as The House Of The Rising Sun and We Gotta Get Out Of This Place.

Jan McCormick, CEO of Blues On Broadbeach, is delighted to have the Englishman and his band on board for the festival and is excited to unveil the rest of the line-up to the public.

"The Blues On Broadbeach Music Festival continues to grow each and every year and with the line-up we are about to present – headlined by such an iconic legend as Eric Burdon, we know that 2016 will be the biggest event yet and people will fly from across the country to be a part of this unique festival."

With the four day festival heading into its 15th year of existence, the well-established event is set to gain further momentum with a new five year sponsorship deal secured with Frizelles, and the full line-up announced in coming weeks.

Blues On Broadbeach will kick off on 19 May and close up with a set by Eric Burdon and The Animals on 22 May. The festival is a free event. For more information, head over to our festivals tab.
