Featuring 300 artists.
Following last week's announcement that UK psych-rockers The Flaming Lips will be headlining the Museum Of Old & New Art (MONA)'s MOFO festival, the complete line-up has today dropped which features some big names on the 300-plus bill.
Joining the iconic Oklahoma act at the event which takes place from 13-18 January next year include renowned UK solo percussionist Evelyn Glennie, award-winning composer Antonio Sanchez, who is best known for his work on the 2014 Academy Award winning film Birdman, Japanese turntablist pioneer DJ Krush and award-winning UK poet-turned-rapper Kate Tempest.
As well as boasting an array of diverse musical talent, MOFO 2016 will also feature a number of arts and theatre productions, including Australia's own Kate Miller-Heidke who will debut her new works with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra at the Odeon Theatre.
Commenting on the impressive line-up, MOFO curator Brian Ritchie said, "Mona is a power spot in Tasmania and we are thrilled to populate many of its nooks, crannies and spaces with music, art and sound this summer."
