Lana Del Rey Battles With David Gilmour For Week's Top Album Debut

This week's ARIA Albums Chart sees international artists Lana Del Rey and David Gilmour vying for the top debut with their brand new records. 

Del Rey's fourth studio album Honeymoon is shooting for a top three finish, but she'll have to battle it out with the Pink Floyd guitarist who is also gunning for top spot with his latest offering Rattle That Lock.

The new record has clearly struck a chord with rock fans who have been holding out for new material from Gilmour as the album is his first in nine years. 

Meanwhile UK singer Jess Glynne's I Cry When I Laugh is also aiming for a top ten finish, as is Drake and Future's new mixtape, What A Time To Be Alive.

Rounding out the album debuts this week include Keith Richards' Crosseyed Heart, Chris Cornell with Higher Truth, Atreyu's comeback album, Long Live and Ryan Adams' anticipated cover of Taylor Swift's acclaimed record, 1989.

Thanks to the recently-screened TV biopic Peter Allen: Not The Boy Next Door based on the late Aussie singer, this week's charts have seen a resurgence in Allen's works.

His 2006 compilation album The Ultimate Peter Allen is set to jump up into the top 20, while his famous 1980 single and unofficial Australian anthem, I Still Call Australia Home is set to debut in the top 30. 

Staying on the Singles Chart, expect to hear new tracks this week from UK pop star Ellie Goulding with On My Mind and Naughty Boy's Runnin (Lose It All) featuring Beyonce and Arrow Benjamin.
