TV series proves to be a big success.

The second and final episode of the Peter Allen miniseries, Peter Allen: Not The Boy Next Door aired on Australian TV screens last night and not only did it post big numbers in the ratings yet again, but the late singer's music has surged back into the music charts over the weekend.

As TV Tonight reports, while it was down on last week's debut screening rating of 1.33 million viewers, the biopic still finished with massive numbers and was again the third most watched show of the night, reeling in an audience of 1.21 million.

The show has clearly struck a chord with critics and fans alike however, as Allen's classic track I Still Call Australia Home has made its way back into the ARIA Singles Chart 35 years after it was originally written to place at #60.

Meanwhile his 2006 compilation album The Ultimate Peter Allen had an even more impressive finish as it came in at #24 on the Albums Chart.
