Blink frontman speaks out.
It has been reported that the remaining members of iconic US band Blink-182, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker, have made plans to enter the studio to record new material with what can only be assumed as now-permanent member, Matt Skiba and some light may have finally been shed on what is going in the Blink camp.
As reported by Absolute Punk, Hoppus took to Facebook to address the current status of the California outfit, following the announcement earlier this year that co-founding member and guitarist Tom Delonge had left the band for a second time, though Delonge still denies he ever quit.
"travis, matt, and i are heading into the studio to continue writing songs in the next few days," the 43-year-old bassist wrote.
"there are already a couple ideas working from before i left for the summer. lots more to come in the future. it may take some time, but it begins now."

It's fair to say Blink have been in a limbo of sorts since the departure of Delonge back in January and after Skiba filled in for some shows in March, speculation was rife that the Alkaline Trio frontman would be joining the band permanently.
Skiba admitted in an interview in April that the option had been discussed and that it was "something I would be very excited to do".
Following Hoppus' acknowledgement that Blink were going through a "friendly divorce" with Delonge, the Angels & Airwaves frontman said in a recent interview at San Diego's Comic Con that it would take "probably just a few phone calls" to reunite with his former band mates and friends.
Die-hard Blink fans will no doubt be holding out for those supposed phone calls, but optimists can potentially now get excited about what the future holds for the band.
