'Pasolini', 'The Hunting Ground', 'Turbo Kid' and more added to the bill

We’ve already been delivered a taste of this year’s Melbourne International Film Festival, and now the full program has landed, boasting an impressive international schedule that features the likes of Abel Ferrara's Pasolini, Kirby Dick's The Hunting Ground doco investigating US college campus rapes, the buzzed-about Turbo Kid, Ethan Hawke's music doco Seymour: An Introduction and more.

Parts of the Next Gen, First Glance and other films had been announced over the past few month, and while impressive, only scratched the surface of the talent pool.

MIFF's music-focused program, Backbeat, hosts Seymour: An Introduction, Colin Hay: Waiting For My Real Life, Mavis!, Mr Dynamite: The Rise Of James Brown and more.

International Panorama highlights include previous mentioned Pasolini and alongside The Duke Of Burgundy (directed by Peter Strickland) and The Diary Of A Teenage Girl (stars Kristen Wiig and Alexander Skarsgard sporting a mo), while the Accent On Asia program delivers Hsiao-hsien Hou's The Assassin, and the Witness To The Fact program offers Mexican drug cartel doco Cartel Land and more.
