The expected launch is nearing with only a week to go
As Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), the tech mecca of Apple products as well as iOS and OS news, approaches on 8 June with the much-anticipated announcement of the company's revamped music streaming service, reports have emerged from the New York Post that suggests Apple is playing hardball with their negotiations with record labels.
Apple will offer a three-month free trial to customers for the new streaming service, which will be followed by a $10-a-month subscription cost, but during that time is reportedly asking that record labels offer their music pro bono to Apple, too.
The tech behemoth was also keen to offer music lyrics as part of the revisioned Beats Music, which is currently available in a free App, though were again unwilling to pay the costs associated with it.
The service is rumoured to also offer video, artists' pages and a "YouTube-style post-it-yourself destination" called Apple Connect.

The New York Post also suggests that the company may feature music industry big-wigs like Drake (reportedly signed for $19 million!), Pharrell and David Guetta as guest DJs for iTunes Radio — a radio service built into the Music app that comes stock with your iPhone.
