The streaming service war wages on

As the date draws nearer for the relaunch of music streaming service, Beats Music, Apple are still negotiating deals for its release, one of which will include a free trial period.

While it will exist as a paid-only subscription upon its release early next month, Recode has reported that Apple may be willing to provide one to three months of free music for users.

Also reported to currently be in negotiations include a feature for the service that would allow music owners to share music that users could listen to without subscribing to the service, similar to how fellow streaming service SoundCloud operates.

The news comes a week after some of the bigger music labels were encouraging their artists to cease using free streaming services in favour of Beats Music.
