Ascendant Aussie electronic luminary Timmy Trumpet and collaborator Savage are making giant strides atop the wave of hype spreading around Europe for their 2014 single Freaks, which has freshly achieved Gold status in the Netherlands ahead of Timmy Trumpet's impending tour of the continent.

Freaks is currently #43 on the Europe Official Top 100 ladder, with recent measurements highlighting its staying power across borders: it sits at #20 on the most recent Belgium Top 20 chart, #11 in Sweden's Top 40, and #5 in Finland's Top 20. It also recently hit #14 on the Euro Clubs Dance Top 100, which collates the most-played tracks on dancefloors across 20 European countries, and inhabits #148 on the European Digital Top 200 Singles chart — the most-downloaded songs across 16 European countries.

The song was no slouch in its performance at home, either, peaking at #3 on the local ARIA charts and going quadruple Platinum (while, interestingly, the song peaked at #1 in New Zealand, where it managed triple Platinum status).

Timmy Trumpet commences his truly epic European tour — it's a whopping 33 dates strong — in a fortnight, on 1 April, at the Pesca Hall, Budapest, Hungary. He'll be on the road all around the continent right through till the end of May. From there, expect Timmy (and Savage) to swing some love Stateside; the duo only recently signed with esteemed EDM house Casablanca Records to distribute the single in the US.
