The revered Casablanca Records will release the pair's hit single 'Freaks' in the States

More Timmy Trumpet More Timmy Trumpet

There's no denying the success of Freaks — the breakthrough track from ascendant electro star Timmy Trumpet and collaborator Savage — at home in Australia, where the track has surpassed quadruple Platinum status, so it comes as little surprise that the pair are turning heads abroad.

Now, Ministry Of Sound Australia have brokered a deal for the pair with renowned US EDM label Casablanca Records, which will release Freaks to the American market this year. Casablanca has been a major part of the global music industry for decades, its earlier iteration hosting artists such as KISS and Donna Summer back when that really meant something — though it has since somewhat reinvented itself as a premier purveyor of the world's foremost electronic music, with artists such as Martin Garrix and Tiesto falling under its impressive umbrella.

"I am incredibly excited to be partnering with Casablanca for the US roll-out of Timmy Trumpet and Savage — Freaks," Ministry Of Sound Australia head of A&R Jeff Drake said in a statement. "Timmy and Savage are brilliantly unique artists whose sound and style translates well beyond their home countries of Australia and New Zealand.

"Casablanca have brilliant enthusiasm for both artists and their sound, and share our excitement for what they can achieve in the US."

Casablanca/Republic Records A&R representative Brett Alperowitz echoed Drake's sentiments: "Casablanca is supremely excited to add Timmy Trumpet and Savage — Freaks to our roster," he said. "Melbourne bounce is on the verge of a global emergence. Like the genre as a whole, Freaks is a fantastic mix of EDM, urban and pop, three of the most relevant genres in the musical landscape today.

"With the support of Republic Records, we look forward to a great run with Timmy and Savage in the US with Freaks and beyond."
