The Music’s album of the week, the roots hero returns with new band The United Nations. British India – Nothing Touches Me (Liberation)

Melbourne pub rock mainstays return with “loveable” new album. The band took us through some of the more colourful moments of their career (“I met some women who were probably in their mid-30s, but they seemed really old at the time, who gave me a bong upstairs”) here.

Daniel Johns – Aerial Love (Eleven/EMI)

Silverchair frontman returns from the wilderness with solo EP, a few songs of which have already been released.

Psycroptic – Psycroptic (EVP)

Tasmanian-bred metal exports return with speed and technicality.
