Album Review: Dead Letter Circus - Stand Apart EP

DLC fans, rejoice. Releasing this EP in digital-only format back in August last year, the prog-rockers have finally brought the record to CD, with 500 copies available from 24hundred.net. The EP features six tracks from the band’s 2013 album, The Catalyst Fire, reworked into acoustic form with the addition of string sections and soothing instrumentation, with vocalist Kim Benzie’s voice the biggest showcase and obviously, star of the show. It’s a solid acoustic record whatever way you look at it, but long-term fans will definitely be the ones getting the most out of this.
