He's too hot (hot damn!)

More Mark Ronson More Mark Ronson

The new album from English music-maker Mark Ronson is on track to land the number one spot in this week's ARIA Albums Chart.

Uptown Special, featuring Ronson's huge hit Uptown Funk featuring American singer-songwriter Bruno Mars, could knock last week's number one, Meghan Trainor's Title off its perch, according to midweek figures. Taylor Swift's 1989 should also still feature in and around the top, thanks to all triple j Hottest 100 controversy that's gone down the last week.

Recent Australian tourists Above & Beyond should have one of the other top debuts this week, with their new LP We Are All We Need expected to crack the ten. Other debuts on the albums front will come from Fall Out Boy, The Decemberists and Enter Shikari, who just announced a tour Down Under.

Movement should also come from Paul Kelly and his latest collection, Paul Kelly Presents The Merri Soul Sessions, which he has been touring around the country. Jumps and re-entries will also come from Nirvana's classic Nevermind, plus Garth Brooks, Melinda Schneider & Beccy Cole and Maroon 5.

Current radio fave, Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix) by Omi is a hot contender for the number one single this week, though the previously mentioned Uptown Funk by Ronson and Take Me To The Church by recent Bluesfest addition Hozier should still be hovering around the top three. There will also be a bit of movement from Swift in what's been a big week for the singer — two of her tracks, Shake It Off and Style are expected to enjoy bumps back up the chart.

Singles debuts should come this week from Aussie teen star Jai Waetford, female group G.R.L. with their tribute to late band member Simone Battle, Lighthouse, soon-to-be-touring Tinashe and American hit-maker Kelly Clarkson.
