Sia's much-discussed new song Elastic Heart has landed in the ARIA Singles Chart top ten.

The single, which has been been a hot topic since its Shia LeBeouf-starring video dropped last week, went a few places better than its predicted top 15, scoring eighth spot. The video hype also helped push the somewhat recluse singer-songwriter's 2014 LP 1000 Forms Of Fear up a number of spots, moving from 34 to 11.

The Singles Chart saw a fair bit of movement considering it's still very early in the year, though Mark Ronson's Uptown Funk featuring singer Bruno Mars remained at number one, while recent Bluesfest addition Hozier stayed solid at two with Take Me To Church.

Debuts came from soon-to-be-touring singer Meghan Trainor and her new track Dear Future Husband, which entered at 27, while Robin Schulz featuring Jasmine Thompson, Sun Goes Down debuted at 30. Urban star Chris Brown's new single with rapper Tyga, Ayo, also debuted at 32. And there were a couple of prominent jumps this week too, namely local singer-songwriter Guy Sebastian and international superstar Taylor Swift. Sebastian's Linger jumped ten spots to 25, while Swift's 1989 featured track Style rose from 61 to 38.

Speaking of 1989, the world-beating album was bumped down from its recent staple spot of number one on the ARIA Albums Chart, with previously mentioned Meghan Trainor nabbing this week's top spot thanks to her first album Title. This also meant Ed Sheeran's very consistent x moved down to three this week.

A couple of Aussies stayed strong this week on the album front too, with Hilltop Hoods remaining at seven with Walking Under Stars and crooner Chet Faker's Built On Glass jumping from 14 to ten. There were also a couple of international debuts — the Into The Woods soundtrack landed at 13 and 2Cellos' Celloverse came in at 24, while re-entries from current Aus tourists The 1975, The 1975 (29) and locals Flight Facilities, Down To Earth (35) and The Preatures, Blue Planet Eyes (39) made up the rest of the major chart movement.
