Twerps, Eves The Behavior, Dorsal Fins and more...
The playlists are still rotating over at triple j as the station gears up to celebrate 40 years in the business.
Prolific Perth outfit Pond have nabbed next week’s Album Of The Week with their record Man It Feels Like Space Again, their third since 2012 and sixth overall. We recently spoke with the band at length about the record in a pub.
They narrowly scored the honour over Melbourne’s Twerps, who receive an album packet addition for their record Range Anxiety – out through Chapter Music, who also manage the group.
There are six other local artists who will see tracks added to the station next week, including #1 Dads (the side project of Big Scary’s Tom Iansek) with the track Nominal. Recent Remote Control signing Dorsal Fins have Mind Renovation added, while Brisbane’s Eves The Behavior – who herself signed label and publishing deals recently while undergoing a name change – has TV added.

Perth hip hop group The Stoops have been plucked from the triple j Unearthed ranks to see their single Middle Of A Riot given a run. The trio are believed to be handling management, press and booking duties themselves at this stage.
In addition to those four, two other Aussie artists will receive spot plays next week. After getting a Home & Hosed spin Brisbane’s Jarryd James’ Do You Remember is added. The independent artist is managed by Page 1 Management’s Ashley Page, who also looks after Broods. Melbourne-residing Roland Tings, managed by Astral People, will see Pala added.
