Label, booking and publishing deals locked in

Brisbane singer-songwriter Eves has announced a name change and a series of industry deals today in the culmination of a busy year.

The 20-year-old artist, who has synesthesia – the condition that triggers colours when certain musical elements are played, will now be known as Eves The Behavior (American spelling intended). Currently without a manager, she has signed to the Dew Process label, is now booked by Village Sounds and has inked a publishing deal with Alberts.

“I added Behavior to my name because it gave me the chance to add another connotation to who I am and what I stand for,” said Eves, real name Hannah Karydas. “Most of my lyrics are behavioural studies. I like to write about my observations of others that I guess are really just mirroring observations of things I do myself.”

She will play next year’s Laneway Festival, details in the guide below.
