The iconic venue will shut its doors on 9 May.
Beloved Perth music venue The Bakery has announced it will be permanently closing its doors this May after 13 years of business, following the sale of the property it sits on last year.
The land the Northbridge venue occupies is set to undergo major development this year, with the final day of trade being Saturday 9 May.
The company that manages The Bakery, Artrage, said they will ensure the venue’s final days are memorable.
“We’re focusing all our energy on giving the old girl the send-off she deserves,” Artrage CEO Marcus Canning said.

“We’re really looking forward to all our faithful punters getting to enjoy the Budgie Smuggler at The Bakery during FRINGE WORLD Festival, then later in the year, our special Last Toast program.”
The Bakery will continue to host live music until its closure, with the Megan Washington and Deltron 3030 shows to go a head as planned.
The closure of the iconic venue follows a string of WA venues shutting their doors last year, including Ya Ya’s.
