The future of Ya Ya's as a live music venue is uncertain

WA live music venue Ya Ya’s is set to close its doors at the end of the month to undergo renovations under new management.

Situated in the heart of Northbridge, the venue hosts live original music, comedy and other events most nights of the week, occasionally being consumed by touring acts such as British India and The Bennies.

A representative for the venue said they were unsure when Ya Ya’s would reopen or whether or not the new owners would still host live original bands, but Melburnian troubadour Hamish Anderson yesterday announced a date at the venue in late November.

The final show booked before renovations is on Saturday 25 October with WA ska rockers Them Sharks.
