First Round Of Aussies Confirmed For SXSW 2015

The first lot of Australian acts set to perform at next year's SXSW music conference and festival in Austin, Texas have been announced.

This year's local contingent is filled with a few newcomers, some current favourites and an iconic veteran band — here are the names:

Angus & Julia Stone
Ball Park Music
Courtney Barnett
Bloods
The Church
Gooch Palms
Demi Louise
Luluc
Twerps

The Church in particular are being billed by the event as one of the must-see artists of the first round announcement, alongside UK post-punk outfit The Pop Group (who are touring Aus very soon), Detroit rapper Black Milk, Austin native Institute and Madrid's Deers.

SXSW will take place in numerous locations throughout Austin between Tuesday 17 and Sunday 22 March.
