The Pop Group Announce Australian Tour

Influential post-punk outfit The Pop Group have announced their first ever tour of Australia, with an already announced festival appearance and a couple of headline shows locked in.

The British outfit, known for their politically-charged lyrics and message and genre-bending sound, are one of the attractions on the just revealed Adelaide Festival bill and will also perform shows at Sydney's Factory Theatre and the Corner Hotel, Melbourne this March.

The Pop Group made plenty of impact in what was initially only a short career, with the oufit disbanding in 1981 after around three years together. They reformed in 2010, getting back on the live circuit and releasing two compilations this year — Cabinet Of Curiosities and a a digital version of We Are Time. Both will be out locally on Friday 24 October via Shock.
