We'll drink to that

More Husky More Husky

Melburnian indie-folk heroes Husky have been announced as the act slated to close out proceedings for Sydney’s forthcoming Craft Beer Week, at Carriageworks, on October 26.

The multiple ARIA award nominees and 2013 APRA winners recently released their acclaimed sophomore effort I’m Not Coming Back, and, with a new single under their belts and a national tour kicking off tonight, they’re in fine form to bring the week-long event to a close with the Sip & Savour celebration.

Sip & Savour, pegged as the “undeniable highlight” of the week’s festivities, features more than 250 beers and ciders from around the country, and its occurrence couldn’t come at a better time for the city, the director of Australian Beer Ambassadors – the organisation behind the annual Australian beer festival – Michael Ward said, while tipping his hat to the additional esteem wrought by Husky’s appearance.

“Their live performances are crafted to take audiences on a journey through their captivating songs,” he enthused of the band.

“Our aim is to create an event that aficionados, converts and the uninitiated alike can enjoy. We’re looking forward to fusing the craft of brewing with the inspired talents of emerging and seasoned artists, musicians, photographers and filmmakers,” added fellow ABA director Kieran Blood.

The Sip & Savour event occurs on Saturday, October 25 (session one, 11.30am-4.30pm; session two, 6.00-11.00pm), and Sunday, October 26 (12.00-6.00pm) at Carriageworks, 245 Wilson Street, Eveleigh.

Tickets will set you back $39.50+bf, available via the Sip & Savour website from Monday, July 28.
