'Weird Al' Gets Handy With Iggy Azalea's Hit Tune

This is the best week ever

"Weird Al" Yankovic has done it again.

In case your modem's been broken this week, the famed parodist-musician has just released his fourteenth studio LP, Mandatory Fun, and to celebrate the album's release — his last one for his existing contract for RCA Records — Yankovic has been putting out a new video every day this week, with his latest effort parodying Iggy Azalea's chart-smashing hit Fancy.

Taking on the aesthetic of the world's most demented episode of Tool Time, Yankovic raps about the merits of workshop expertise, the entire time doing surprising justice to the original vibe of the song.

There are four days left in Yankovic's #8videos8days campaign, which so far has seen him drop parodies of Pharrell's Happy, Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines and Lorde's Royals. We don't know about you, but we can't wait to see which of the remaining tracks from Mandatory get the AV treatment next.

Yankovic has previously suggested that his newfound freedom from RCA would mark a shift in how he releases his music — a necessity given his chosen field of expertise and the internet's ability to undercut it quickly. If nothing else, it's shown a remarkable amount of marketing nous, having spread the hosting love for his first three clips around prominent video sites on the internet — so don't be surprised if we see similar efforts from the wild-haired funnyman in the future.
